Is the dual humbucker, 5 switch covering of space between the same as having a middle pickup?

Assuming the string near the neck is bassier than that string by the bridge:

Adding the two single coils hot at either side of the space a middle pickup would be gives:

With a middle pickup between the two humbucker pickups:

In between the bassier (neck) end and the treble end (bridge), the middle pickup would be in the middle range of bassier and treble extremes:

The middle pickup entails the body of EQ and is obviously not the same as switch positions for the dual humbucker combination.
